USA Rank has become the definitive ranking system over the past decade. With our ranking system, the results do the talking. We use the state, regional, and national events to help us seed the top teams, and then the results from league and and tournament play are used to move teams up and down in the rankings. This has proven to work out extremely well with the older age groups because they have official state, regional, and national events, but the younger age groups don’t have these events.

Our current solution uses some of the top tournaments around the country as our seeding events. This method is not providing accurate enough rankings for our standards. Therefore, we decided that it is time to make a change for the younger age groups. Within the next month, we will be introducing a new system to help us get the most accurate rankings possible for the younger teams in our system. We have the most knowledgeable youth soccer fans in the country. Our sincVIP members will help us identify and seed teams into the appopriate levels. To maintain the integrity of our rankings, the seeding will lay the foundation for the rankings, but the actual results will overlay the seeding; the seeding will not hold back any teams and will not be stop winning teams from rising to the top of the rankings. It will allow us to seed out teams more accurately and will give the younger age groups as accurate a ranking as the older groups. If your team is not identified as a “top team” it will not hurt your team as long as you have played and defeated any one of those top teams. What this allows us to do is to get an appropriate spread for those teams which will allow the results to do the talking – as it does for the older age groups.

The sincVIP members will help us identify some of the top teams. They won’t say that “team A should be #1 in the state” or “team B is #20″ or even then “team A is better than team B”. They will be given a specific number of votes to cast and will only be able to identify the range that a team falls within (ie “team A is in the top 10 in the state” or “team B falls within the top 10-50 in the state”). We will use the votes to to seed the teams and seedings are NEVER used to lower the level of a team. As always, the rankings are determined by actual results.

We will introduce this new system within the next month so stay tuned!

sincLink has now been around for about a year and we’ve seen some great enhancements over this time. We initially built sincLink because athletes wanted more from their communications with college coaches and we listened. Email by itself is a limited tool because once the you hit send, you never really know what happens from there. sincLink was designed enhance email communication so athletes can know if a coach received their message, if it was viewed, and when the reply was sent. It also organizes all messages with a coach in one place so an athlete never forgets where they are in the process with that coach.

Our latest enhancement has been a change in the delivery method to college coaches. Coaches will receive your message embeded inside a template that will make you stand out above and beyond the rest. You can attach your profile to that message and we will also be sure to put a link at the bottom so the coach can go directly to your online profile as well. Here is a screen shot at what our athletes see when then preivew the message they are about to send out.
